In support of this, we are seeking a Design Engineer to join as a key member of our Solutions Team.

What are we looking for?

If you are an experienced Design Engineer ready for a new challenge and want to make a difference we want to hear from you! Here are the required qualifications & experience with some of the skills we are looking for:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years design experience
  • Skilled and proficient in the use of 2D CAD software (preferably AutoCAD), and 3D CAD software (preferably NX)
  • Previous experience in a precision manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience with ERP / MRP systems
  • Capable of designing 3D models to suit customer needs whilst following company standards
  • Some knowledge of Hot Runner Systems and injection moulding
  • Ability to understand and create manufacturing drawings with geometric tolerances
  • High personal motivation, energy and good work habits
  • The problems you face can be large or small, simple or complex, and easy or difficult to solve. Regardless of the nature of the problems, a fundamental part of every Design Engineers role is finding ways to solve them. So, being a confident problem solver will be really important to your success.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work within a team environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

About Mastip

Mastip Technology is a global supplier of hot runner solutions with its US headquarters situated in Slinger Wisconsin. Mastip prides itself on supplying innovative hot runner solutions to the plastics injection molding industry backed by exceptional customer service and support which has seen us achieve strong growth in the US.

In this role, you will be selling to local and national tool makers and manufacturers. The territory is Illinois, Indiana, West Michigan and the outlying areas. The ideal candidate lives in the area. Responsibilities will include managing key accounts, end-users, consulting engineers and contractors. Customers will vary by type and market. The position will report into the GM Mastip Inc and a liaison with the Global VP of Sales. Both will work together to set Mastip‘s strategy for the region.

Job Description:

* Responsible for achieving sales goals and executing sales plans, both volume and profit, within assigned sales territory.

* Responsible for securing and maintaining distribution of products and maintaining effective agreements.

* Has direct one-to-one communication with customers, both present and prospective.

* Field promotion work and developing new accounts.

* Demonstrates products and provides assistance in the best application of product.

* Contacts prospects and explains features and merits of products offered, utilizing persuasive sales techniques.

* Analyzes records of present and past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred.

* Interprets accounts, trends, and records to management.

* Responsible for closing the sales transaction.

* Service accounts and manage relationships regarding pricing, product warranty claims, receivables, etc.

* This is a high revenue territory.

Qualifications:

* BA/BS or Engineering degree preferred.

* 5+ years of sales experience.

* Experience working with distributors.

* Mechanical Aptitude is a must.

* Must be able to travel frequently (30-40%) including some overnight travel.

* Demonstrated skills and attributes include initiative, problem solving, negotiation, and persuasive communication skills (written, presentation and verbal).

* Ability to function independently.

Experience & Requirements:

* Minimum of 5 Years-Experience in Sales Management in the B2B markets.

* Knowledge of the Hot Runner and Plastic Molding markets preferred.

* Establish mutual trust and confidence with tool makers, manufactures and End-Users via frequent visits.

* Establish communication to learn about and keep colleagues informed of new projects.

* Establish communication on market trends and areas of growth.

* Process information gathered to predict sales and price points of those sales.

* Be a resource that customers can call for advice and consulting.

* Work closely with Customers Managers, gaining their confidence and trust.

* Be aggressive in making joint sales calls with and training the representatives on new products, solutions and more

* Market Mastip through participation at Industry events.

* Gathering and Analysis of competitor information regarding products, prices, sales channels, etc.

* End-user information regarding new projects and market tendencies.

* Regional economic review to achieve deep knowledge about market growth and risks.

* Establish parameters for forecast development and coordination.

* Gather information which, includes establishing the correct price situation required.

* Participate in Trade Show activities with Marketing and Sales.

* Provide and review constant market developments regarding applications, products, etc.

* Identify and communicate market opportunities.

* Maintain regular information flow from market, end users, customers, competitors, etc. to the Marketing team.
